Here are more Clarke Items.
This bronze belongs to me. It is a walking grizzly bear that seems to be cast from one of John's earlier carvings - Clark is spelled without the 'e'. The bear is 6" long and 4 5/8" high.
I own this cribbage board made by John L. Clarke. I have talked with John's daughter and she remembers her dad making several cribbage boards and playing cribbage with friends. This is made out of an elk antler. The cribbage board in 9 1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide. It has a hole drilled in the end with 5 bone pegs and a cork plug. It is signed on the bottom and on the end, there is written, "JL Clarke Glacier Park.
These are painted lamp shades. I had no idea John did this type of art. I found it at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson, Montana.
These are two more pieces that John created. The picture of the clay vase is courtesy of Jerry Evans and the painting is courtesy of Cathleen Holmes.
